JCI Curepipe teams up to save lives in Africa! Join our team now and help make a difference!
Below you can read an e-mail from JCI Secretary General about how you can help us win this fight!
Dear 2011 JCI National President,
Accept warm greetings from JCI World Headquarters!
We are now halfway through 2011, and already we have seen great impact from our National and Local Organizations across the globe. We have united to send help to Japan through JCI Operation Hope. We worked with members in Cameroon to raise awareness and funds to distribute bed nets in partnership with the UN Foundation. And we have emerged from the 2011 JCI Global Partnership Summit with an exciting and actionable resolution for greater impact.
Now, I am writing to challenge each member, every Local and every National Organization to save lives through the 2011 JCI Nothing But Nets Countdown to Congress Challenge.
2011 JCI Nothing But Nets Countdown to Congress Challenge
For the past two years, every National Organization was challenged to raise one net per member in the two months leading up to JCI World Congress.
This year, the Countdown is on again. We are challenging every National Organization to raise one net per member between September 1 and the 2011 JCI World Congress in Brussels, Belgium. That’s USD$10 per member. At World Congress, we will celebrate our successes as we announce the winners.
How it Works
Through the Countdown to Congress Challenge, your organization can work to raise awareness and build excitement for the JCI Nothing But Nets campaign with some friendly competition.
We will announce the winning JCI National Organizations at the Morning Show on Friday, November 4 during the 2011 JCI World Congress.
Please note:
- JCI World Headquarters will include all donations received between January 1 and November 3, 2011 for the competition.
- Donations must be received by World Headquarters by no later than 5 p.m. CET on Thursday, November 3.
- Only donations that have been received by World Headquarters will be allowed to compete or win the Countdown to Congress Challenge.
Donations can be made by check or wire transfer (instructions attached) to JCI World Headquarters, or by credit card through the UN Foundation Netraiser system (create a team or donate here: )
Thank you for your hard work to create positive change in your communities. Please do not hesitate in contacting JCI External Communications Manager Christine Albrecht (calbrecht@jci.cc) should you have any questions.
I look forward to seeing you in Brussels!
