Paris, France – February 14, 2013
JCI Secretary General Edson A. Kodama and 2013 JCI President Chiara Milani visited the International Chamber of Commerce Headquarters.
2013 JCI President Chiara Milani presented JCI’s G20 resolutions paper to ICC Secretary General Jean-Guy Carrier. Also in attendance at this occasion were Secretary General Edson A. Kodama, ICC Director Anthony Parkes and ICC Project Manager Stéphanie Vieilledent.
JCI’s resolution paper shares ideas and solutions for preparing the youth generation to take responsibility for the world around them. To fight unemployment and poverty, young people must foster job creation and education by encouraging entrepreneurial spirit and incorporating business into education. This paper will be used at the 2013 G20 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, September 5-6.
“As young active citizens from all over the world, it’s part of our Individual Social Responsibility to propose sustainable solutions to the Leaders of the G20 in order to create a positive change in the world economy,” said President Milani.
The ICC is the voice of world business championing the global economy as a force for economic growth. Through JCI’s partnership with the ICC-WCF, JCI Local Organizations work with local chambers of commerce on projects to advance global economic progress and strengthen entrepreneurship. JCI’s involvement in the G20 summit advances this partnership and allows the voice of youth to be heard by G20 leaders worldwide.
