2013 JCI Africa & Middle East Conference: Welcome Message

Dear fellow JCI members,

Also known as the gem of Africa, it is a rare commodity in an over populated and over developed world, both untamed and untameable. You will be left breathless by its boundless expanses of uninhabited wilderness stretching from horizon to horizon, the incredible sensation of endless space, a diverse wildlife and bird viewing, fascinating night skies studded with stars and heavenly bodies of a dazzling brilliance, and stunning sunsets of unearthly beauty. That is not to mention its charming people and their rich cultural heritage.

Yes, fellow members, this is beautiful Botswana where we will be holding our 2013 JCI Africa and the Middle East Conference in its capital city of Gaborone on May 8 – 11. A very dynamic and restless organizing team there, under the exceptional leadership of Director Uyapo Letsholo, is working around the clock to put together a memorable program for you, including an impactful community project born from the spirit of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, during which we will “Dare to Act” in Gaborone to spread the noble JCI Mission.
